Wolfgang Klafki – an autobiographical dialogue
Wolfgang Klafki is one of the most important contemporary pedagogues. For more than four decades he has helped to shape German-speaking educational science. In conversation with Karl-Heinz Braun, one of his former students, he presents important stages in his pedagogic and academic development: The experiences in his parents’ home and at school during the period of German fascism, his attraction to humanities pedagogy during his studies, ist further development into a critical and constructive educational science as well as ist significance for the decisive modernization, democratization and humanizing of school services in the present and for the future.
This book offers a biographical approach to Klafki’s academic concept. At the same time it is an original introduction to the pedagogic way of thought and ist practice.
