Development Time and Development Space for Pupils with Learning Disabilities in Heterogeneous Learning Groups

Summary: In her article the author analyses how classroom instruction on the basis of a weekly programme has to be organised in heterogeneous learning groups in order to be beneficial for pupils with learning disabilities. Firstly, she presents two theory-provoking tuitional sequences. The results of the analysis of the two sequels are rated on the background of Piaget’s work on the development of the concepts of time and space in early childhood. To support and expand the theory of the development of time and space in children with learning disabilities, the author refers to genetic epistemology. Based on her outcomes, she elaborates a list of recommendations for an efficient use of classroom tuition as development time and development space.
