Early Communication as an Integrative Approach or Integrated Communication as an Early Approach in Speech and Language Therapy

Summary: Speech and language therapy in children with developmental delay or in danger of handicapping conditions during the first year of life means to accompany parents and children. The goal of every communicative process, to develop common meanings, is followed by parents adequately and consequent of they use their intuitive abilities. The therapist tries to help for a careful uncovering observation and by commenting on resources present in parents and children, expanded by some special measures, e. g. the Castillo Morales concept. These are oriented on the developmental stage of the child and comprise not only speech and language but also many other ways on all levels of communication.
