Computerised Orthographic Training with the COLLI Program
2005, 261-271
Summary: After describing the use of computers in the training of orthographic skills, an evaluative study of the enforcement of the orthographic training program „COLLI“ in two child guidance centres is presented (N = 16, N = 30). A single-case design is used. Analyses of variance show significant improvement of orthographic performance. The results are independent of age, attended school-form, intelligence, concentration ability, striving to avoid effort, and abnormal behavior. The training did not improve the children’s concentration ability but reduced the striving to avoid effort. The influence of subject’s gender should be observed in further research.
