Welche Auswirkungen haben verschiedene Arten von Berufsorientierungsunterricht? Eine quasi-experimentelle Feldstudie
What are the Effects of Different Kinds of Vocation-Orienting Instruction?
2005, 138-145
Summary: The effects of different types of vocation-orienting instruction on vocational decision skills of 7th grade students from 8 classes of secondary schools were tested. Vocation-orienting instruction was realized in three ways: integrated in the regular school subjects, as an additional school subject, or as a project. The study was organized in a quasi-experimental pre-post-test design. Attitudes relevant for vocational decisions (self-confidence, involvement, flexibility, and self-regulation) basic knowledge in vocational orientation, and skills in vocational problemsolving were assessed in 191 13 – 14 year-old students. Only weak effects of vocation-orienting training were found for vocation-oriented attitudes. Knowledge and skills improved best when pre-vocational training was realized in projects. Practical methods for enhancing the quality of pre-vocational trainings are discussed.
