Tests und Screenings: Bezugswerte für die Grundform des "Block-Tapping-Test (BTT)" für 5 bis 9 Jahre alte Kinder
Reference Values for the Standard form of the Block-Tapping-Test (BTT) for 5 to 9 Years old Children
2010, 139-142
Summary: The Corsi Test is the best known and internationally most frequently used test for -testing visual spatial memory performances. In German speaking countries, the "Block Tapping Test (BTT)" (Schelling, 1997) is a standardized version, but only from the age of 15. Therefore, we calculated reference values for 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 year old children. From a total of 242 children whose intellectual capacities have been tested by us with the "K-ABC", 42 to 54 children were distributed to the individual age groups. The results in the age groups showed quite regularly increasing capacities with increasing age. For investigating the validity of K-ABC subtests and the BTT by correlations and a factor analysis, we also tested the children with the subtests "Symbol sequence memory (SFG)" (from the "Psycholinguistic Developmental Test (PET)") and "drawing" from the "Frostig 2". The results of the correlation analyses and the factor analysis as well as their significance for the validity of the method and for practical application are discussed.
