Attachment and Relationship and its Significance for Paedagogical Horseback Riding
2010, 11-19
Summary: In contact with his early attachment figures, the child develops an image of himself and of others. The child internalizes expectations of relationships and the environment. The influence of early relationships on the experience and behavior of a person has great significance for paedagogical horseback riding. On one hand, the paedagogue can attain importance as an attachment figure for his client and thus restore corrective relational experiences to him. On the other hand, the knowledge of object relations theory is always important for paedagogical work in cases when the client’s behavior is not explainable on the basis of the actual situation, and a sense-understanding perceptional attitude on the part of the paedagogue becomes necessary.
