Von der Hippotherapie zur Zügelführung
From Hippotherapy to Rein Control
2010, 4-10
Summary: The text gives an insight into a longterm hippotherapeutic intervention with a duration of 10 years. The patient is a girl with cerebral palsy (diplegia) who started hippotherapy at the age of five years and has been taking part in the intervention regularly once a week since then. The text focuses on the effect of so called hippotherapeutic intensive weeks and on the smooth transition to independent rein control. The hippotherapeutic intervention mainly aims at improving motor competences, but also effects on socio-emotional skills are mentioned.
Keywords: Hippotherapy, cerebral palsy, tone, orientation in space, single-case, longterm intervention
