Summary: Substance and method of Natural Horsemanship (Pat Parelli) are described and presented in combination with movement-therapeutic approaches of the actual treatment of Anorexia nervosa, Bulimia nervosa and "Binge-Eating"-Disorder. This synthesis results in a horse assisted method of treating patients suffering from eating disorders. Horse-assisted movement-therapy is portrayed by means of concrete examples out of the therapeutic practice. The article ends with a preview of an ongoing evaluation study.
